Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
A cafeteria plan, or a flexible spending account (FSA), is like a budgeting plan that allows you to use pretax dollars to cover certain expenses not covered by insurance. During the year, you have access to this account for reimbursement of expenses you already regularly pay for, such as dependent daycare and health care (deductible, co-pay, co-insurance, vision and dental).
You decide how much money to set aside. Contributions to your account are automatically deducted from your paycheck; before taxes. That means more take-home pay for you! Ask your employer today about a flexible spending account. It's offered at no charge to employer groups participating in the AGC Health Plan.
